Reaction to this post

I think this is a great idea to make Arashi realize that they have indeed brought the storm all over the world. Now if I lived in Europe I'd join with a heartbeat but I am not. So I decided to create a fanclub for America (both north&south)!
I can take care of the English, French, Japanese (so we can give them the link somehow at some point and they can understand :D) and site design part, but I'd need help from some of you who speak Spanish (plenty of people already, but promoting on spanish websites and forums would be great!!), Portuguese and Chinese. I think that's about it for main languages spoken, tell me if I'm wrong ^^; All languages covered, thank you ^-^ !!

Seeing as it's the end of the term and I have no time at the moment, the website will have to wait for about 2 and a half weeks. So in the meantime, if you want to join because you think you can bring something to the website either comment here or send me an email ( audience.killer@gmail.com )

Comments and suggestions are very welcomed.
I'll make another post when the site will be ready :D

[edit with suggestions]
We will most likely need a logo for spaming, every single idea is welcomed.
If you can draw chibi arashi to put on the website (since no pictures allowed) it would be wonderfull too :D!

If you go on arashi forums, other communities and the like, please link to this post so we can have as much people informed about this project! ^^

Also, please leave your email when offering your help. It's more simple to contact you when the time comes!

Great Idea!

I can do basic Spanish but I will ask [livejournal.com profile] tenjostyle for you, although I think her Spanish would be more Spain than American Spanish...oh well XD

The only hitch I can think of is how are we going to make this an "official" fanclub?

I know there is a project going around (that I actually heard of today for the first time) called "Arashi Around America". You can see their website HERE. (http://arashiaroundamerica.blogspot.com)

Maybe a collaboration or joining with them? They have a really good idea to get the possibility of an American concert off the ground.

I think that making a list of all fans would be more effective than sending postcard or videos...

I'll join when the site is up too!

I support anything that would drag Arashi over stateside, including ropes and chains. But the fanclub thing is a good idea too.

XD y'know, I wouldn't be surprised if this worked~!
Definitely count me in =D
I've got some professional Chinese translation & website design experience if you need me~^^

One idea I have is that we could get some kind of official logo sticker or stationery printed
and spam-mail them with the logo + get members going to concerts in Japan to hold up signs...

Well it wouldn't be a surprise to them that Arashi has fans in the major American cities (probably North America in general) considering the little bit of chaos we caused 2 years ago when KATTUN was in LA on a very non-publicized PR stint for the Little Tokyo parade. Only the fans knew who they were, the other local reporters and un-JE initiated parade-goers had no clue what the madness was about. I think JE knows they have a toe-hold, but they don't see how to approach it. Not sure if we can convince them of anything too widespread, but there's no reason they can't play a gig or 2 in Las Vegas (like almost all the Cantopop and K-pop acts do) and Atlantic city. Heck, even L'arc en Ciel played at a convention and sold out! I think the fan club is a great idea to unify what we've all been waiting for and it might be just the push they need to take the leap. Count me in. ^__^

Absolutely count me in!!:D I think anything's worth a try, we have to make some noise and get ourselves recognized!:) Since you've got English, French and Japanese covered (my 3 languages;P) I don't know what I could do to help, but I definitely want to join!^^

If I remember the Johnny's history that I've read here on LJ, there have been several attempts over the years to introduce a unit here in the US but that was back in the 70's or something... D:

The state of their US fandom is different now- the internet has brought us all together, for one, and we are able to keep up with Johnny's in near-realtime because of the fans in Japan helping us. The KAT-TUN fangirl riot in LA back in 2005 let them know something, haha.

I guess that some sort of revue in Vegas would be how they approach it, but then I would not be suprised if ticketing for those shows went through the fan club.

I AGREE SO MUCH WITH KUROROKOON!!!

Because I am from the Philippines..hehe I think it would be awesome to finally start our own INTERNATIONAL FC!! If Johnny's won't start it, maybe we can make it on our own!!
I also think it is easier this way for Johnny's to introduce international ticketing hehehe (well, I can dream right?)

Here's an idea: Someone should start an Arashi United, or something....like....a worldwide fans club, but with chapters...like, American, European...or Asian....make the reach more encompassing.....

Hey! I'm not from America but I thought I'd say what an awesome idea it is to start an American FC. I definitely agree with the majority of people that linking all of the FC's together at the end is a great idea. I think if we prove that they have fans everywhere outside of Japan and not just in Europe and America it would make more of an impact.

BTW what's the link to the American FC page?

Gah I'm sooo excited about this! I just hope there will be correspondence between the American and European FC's!
