Hi everyone!

There are some things, that I have always been curious about, is that...I know one way to try bidding concert tickets from auctions, is through a third party (I don't know what you call them). They kind of represent you, to help you bid, with a fee (probably not cheap).

Is that recommended? I wanted to try, but I don't know any good ones......you guys know any? I ever came across but forgotten the links.

Another reason why I hesistated because, even if you managed to get a successful bid, you don't know when the tickets will reach your hands? How advanced do FC members get their tickets? One week from actual concert date?

I hope someone can clear my doubts, because is something always on my mind.

Arigato gozaimasu.

I use a courier service (the third-party thing) to bid on yahoo!japan auctions. The one I use is celga.com and it hasn't given me any trouble yet, although the fact that they always get the bids in at the last minute is worrisome because it means the auction's high bidder might be sitting on a much higher bid and I wouldn't know it until it was too late. :-S

I haven't bought concert tickets from them yet but I am planning to, and they mentioned the option of either sending the tickets to my house in the US, or else sending them to my hotel in Japan. You should be able to expedite the shipping (for an additional charge) if you end up bidding really close to the concert's date.

A couple of other courier services that I've heard positive things about were rinkya.com and... shoppingmalljapan (.com? or just run a google search and it should turn up).

Hope this was helpful! Maybe someone who has already successfully obtained concert tickets through a third party courier service will be able to offer you better advice. :)

My cousin used Crescent Shop to buy ours, and it was really nice and easy. Basically, you just find the auction you want (make sure the auction has a photo or scan of the tickets; selling fanclub tickets is against the rules, and you will be turned away at the door if found with those) and go through Crescent Shop's bidding process. Additionally, you can email CS and they can mail the tickets either to your address here in the US, or wait, and mail them to where you'll be staying when in Japan. They have a commission fee, but it's cheaper than most, and the $50 deposit is returned to you after the transaction, they just use it to make sure they don't get burned by customers. ^^

I personally wouldn't recommend a go-between service because they're fairly expensive, but if you don't have a contact in Japan that may be your only wait. You can sign up for Yahoo!auctions easily (providing that you can read Japanese that is) but most sellers will only mail within Japan. In addition, I wasn't able to use my American credit card to pay, I had to borrow a friends and pay them back. If you have enough money to use a go-between service then that may be the only way.

Fan Club members get their tickets about two weeks before the concert. I'm not sure how long it takes go-between services to mail them though.

You can't just join Yahoo! Auctions (or you used to not be able to), you either need to pay or be a member of their broadband service (my best friend is so I use his account when I bid). If you can join or use a friend's account, it's probably best to just have the tickets sent to where ever you're staying in Japan. Unless you have a Japan-based credit card you can't use a credit card so you'll have to pay via a postal or bank money transfer. And obviously you need to be in Japan to do both (and need a bank account for the latter).

You might actually be best off with a proxy service if you don't live in Japan.

I'm an FC member and the tickets usually come 2-3 weeks before the show. I remember last year that my Yokohama Arena tickets (for the 7/22 and 7/23 shows) were delivered 7/8 because I was in Hokkaido that day to see them on the 9th.
