Gantz review on Malaysian local newspaper

arashi_onMalaysian local newspaper, The Star, made a review on Gantz movie two days ago (Saturday, 2 April).
The reviewer actually made some negative comments about the movie (mainly she said the movie is absurd and pretty stupid, which made me feel like burning the newspaper for a second. But since the review filled the one whole page and she used a big smexy picture of Nino, I forgave her a little).
I've been waiting for someone to scan it, but since no one did, I thought I'll share it. My scanner isn't working, but I tried to take some decent pictures of the review page :)

Date: 2011-04-04 04:25 am (UTC)I actually thought the film was pretty decent (and of course, Nino was shinning ^0^). My only complaint was the dub I had to listen to in theaters V.V I about cut my ears off. The voices didn't even match up with the lips...
Wish they would have announced they were using subs in San Francisco earlier...I would have saved my money to hear Nino's voice!!!

Date: 2011-04-04 04:33 am (UTC)i have watched gantz and...... totally riveted!!! i've already watched anime since knewn nino will be on gantz & i really like its anime. no different too much between movie & anime even some parts not on the movie *lol*...but i prefer with movie version.. it's sugoiiiiiii!!! i did't realized if this movie take more than 2 hours when finished. really enjoy to watch it!!!
now....can't wait for Gantz-Perfect Answer!!!

Date: 2011-04-04 05:18 am (UTC)PLUS it's a live-action movie! So you can't expect it to go over the top with more "lewdness and crudeness" I mean, these are humans who can feel uncomfortable at times. But take a look at the CG effects as well as their acting!
..I can't really critique this review since i have yet to see the movie (even though i know its going to be mind-blowing!)
I think that reporter is a little bias with Matsuken just because he played L on Death Note. But look at Nino, had a hollywood debut and is an idol. (okay, i'll admit that's being bias on my part too) This review should learn her facts more before giving a review to the public.
Sorry for this loonng rant~~! But that is a sexy pic of Nino indeed <3 Those GANTZ suits are just "kakkoii-looking" No one is going to stop me from watching that movie (subbed of course)

Although i do believe that is the case, (but i think Nino can pull it off just as well x3) btw, i just learned about GANTZ through Nino, and when i was watching the anime, i really paid attention to his character and said "I can really see him pull that off" .. and then, oh let's read the manga and i did (on chap 250 something already)
Instead of the plot, i think that the reviewer should really focus more of the acting as well as the atmosphere the actors worked with.
