zomboid's post here about Jun's surprise visit to the Sendai airport and Rokugou elementary and middle schools, I have a few more things to add. It seems not only did he write out that note for them and give out bookstore gift cards, he also did get to interact with a bunch of students and even gave hugs to some of them!
Here are a few further details (and a couple of pictures) about his visit from a fan's blog, translated for your reading pleasure. :)

Jun-kun in Sendai
It happened after the start of the fourth period....
There was an announcement: "*knock knock!* There is a visitor here to see everyone."
And then...
"No wayyyy!" "Oooooh!"
The middle school students erupted in cheers all at once.
A certain male idol (from a group) had come to the school.
"It's been really tough for everyone here, huh. I've come here to see you all... and put smiles on your faces," he said kindly.
Not only that, he gave every single person there a gift.
Since it was such a big surprise,
there were kids there who were speechless,
and so nervous they were frozen stiff,
but it turned out to be the most memorable time ever.
He took commemorative photos with every school year. [T/N: it means he took pictures with the students in groups that were divided by the grade they're in.]
Receiving those pictures was something the kids themselves were looking forward to too.
Lastly, he shook their hands and said goodbye.
The above was recounted by someone from the school he visited.
By the way, this is the present he gave each person:

(since it's not allowed to post up photos and signatures, the portion with his name has been covered up.)
