On May 17th, KARA guested on SBS’s “Strong Heart” and talked about an experience they shared with Arashi member, Matsumoto Jun.
Seungyeon revealed, “We once guested on a Christmas special with a lot of other popular artists. It was cool for us to see stars that we had only heard names of.” The program Seungyeon mentioned is Asahi TV’s “Music Station“, a four-hour live program that featured Japanese artists like Arashi, SMAP, News, Koda Kumi, and Hamasaki Ayumi.
Kang Ho Dong butt in to comment, “So for example, it’d be like Won Bin, Jang Dong Gun, and Rain in one show.”
After much laughter at his witty comparison, Seungyeon continued, “After completing our stage, we saw Matsumoto Jun in the elevator. We’re all such avid fans that we weren’t able to hide our excitement. Goo Hara began talking to him first, and Nicole told him that Jiyoung was his fan.”
Jiyoung revealed, “I like him the most, but unfortunately I wasn’t there. In Japan, minors can’t work past 9 PM. After hearing that the unnis met him, I felt really regretful about my age.”
Seungyeon concluded, “We later saw him doing our ‘butt dance’ for ‘Mister‘ on a TV show. It earned a lot of headlines, so we were so thankful for that."The MatsuJun convo started around 5:20min into the video!”

Date: 2011-05-18 04:11 pm (UTC)As they were explaining how they got to be a part of the Music Station SP with all the big name stars of Japan, the two from Super Junior start talking about how SMAP is equivalent to H.O.T. having been active for over 20 years with consistent sales. Then Kang Hodong asks who is comparable to Arashi, and Lee Seunggi says Super Junior (although, it's clearly a little awkward because I think it's pretty obvious he only said that since members of SJ are on the show haha). Then the two from SJ deny it, and the hosts are all "Yeah, you're the best in Korea right now! In Asia!" and then the one kid (Leeteuk? Eunhyuk?") says "No, in the world!" lol okay.
Seungyeon continues her story, and is explaining how one side would be Kimura Takuya, on another would be Matsujun, then over there there were famous movie stars, where Kang Hodong says "So to put it simply it's like being surrounded by Jang Donggun, Won Bin, and Rain."
She then says how it was an honor and they got through the show and performed happily and on their way out, right when they got into the elevator, they realized that Jun was there in the elevator alone.
He was standing there in the corner by himself, and since the elevator was filled with Koreans (idk if she meant just KARA, or there were other Koreans too) they all started talking loudly and getting energetic in Korean. He was standing there looking kind of nervous and glancing around at everyone.
So then the four in KARA start getting all giggly, getting ready to try talking to him, whispering to each other "What should we do, what should we do, it's Matsujun~"
Like mentioned in the post, Hara first spoke up and said that they'd been watching his dramas, and then Nicole told him that Jiyoung liked him the most, but because of her age had left earlier.
Then when they got back to Korea, they saw that Jun had done the dance for Mister on Shiyagare, and they were really grateful.
Then it goes into how comedian Shin Bongsun is clearly a fan as well, and the host Kang Hodong asks that if she got married to Jun, is it alright to not earn money (just be a housewife) and she goes "Of course, of course, I don't really need money."
&now I'm just really happy that they talked about Arashi & Jun so much in a Korean variety show *A*
