The Mainichi Daily <Pop group Arashi pitches for Japan's tourism amid nuclear crisis>TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Popular Japanese boy band Arashi made a pitch Monday to attract more visitors to the country amid a decline in tourist numbers stemming from the ongoing nuclear crisis triggered by the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit northeastern Japan exactly four months ago.A film entitled "Message from Japan" featuring the five-member pop idol group began airing simultaneously across the globe in more than 133 countries and regions including the outdoor screen at New York City's Times Square.The video footage was also broadcast in places such as Seoul and London, and will also be shown at airports and Japanese embassies worldwide in the coming weeks."We would like to again issue an appeal through this film that it is safe to travel to Japan," Japan Tourism Agency Commissioner Hiroshi Mizohata told a Tokyo news conference launching the broadcast of short messages by Arashi, who were appointed last year to be the agency's ambassadors and are popular at home and abroad, particularly in Asia.At the same press event, Foreign Minister Takeaki Matsumoto said, "The disaster has forced the drastic fall in tourists, but I hope that we can convey to the world that Japan is in top form" through the footage of five tourist spots filmed by the group's members.The Arashi members filmed their scenes as a group in the Japanese capital and individually in Hokkaido and Aomori prefectures from the north to destinations in the southern areas in Okinawa and Kagoshima prefectures and the western Japan city of Kyoto, interacting with locals and introducing cuisine and practices there, such as the sitting meditation known as "zazen" in Kyoto.Group member Jun Matsumoto said, "The tourist spots in Japan are regaining their cheerfulness so we sincerely look forward to everyone around the world coming to visit."Another group member, Kazunari Ninomiya, who visited Aomori and introduced his interaction with people preparing for the famous Nebuta summer festival, expressed hope that people would learn more about places in Japan.According to an estimate by the Japan National Tourism Organization in May, the number of foreign visitors in April dropped 62.5 percent from a year earlier, marking the sharpest ever fall for a month due to the impact of the March 11 catastrophe.

I think. if this is hamburg lunch box. err… I eat it first, hamburg. it’s not much differenced, yep. but it seems steak and hamburg are a bit difference,yep. I have such time. then and sushi, sushi, I eat absolutely my favorite first. so me, when I eat such, it’s always same. err. I eat first from sea chestnut, then flatfish and other, I go that side, and ginger between these, then what eat next I think I eat shurimp. then eat sea chesnut and flatfish again. then eat ginger,this is finish. I don’t eat at all, right, me, he he he. so, you too, err… you must have this kind of order, I think it’s good to enjoy it eating by yourself.

btw looking at the recent rating, im really worried with Shiyagare rating keep droping down and getting worse each e while the ep itself keep getting better and funnier T_T
especially last week ep is the the most epic Shiyagare ep ever but even bad rating T_T
does they have big show as the rival on the timeslot?

it is like i don't understand anymore what the audience want to see:(

i love all Arashi tv shows but Shiyagare is definitely the best one out of the 3 so it really disappoint me the rating is the worst out of 3 especially lower that HnA^^;
Shiyagare is getting really interesting and the boys challenging and learning new things everytime with creative and unique theme every single ep...
i just wondering why people don't want to tune in to watch such wonderful show anymore with great topic...

i know rating is not important for us fans but i do know it is very important for the boys and the staff who work really hard for this show..

Uwaaah, that Kaibutsu-kun slide seems cool! I showed the picture to my little nephews (who are HUGE Kaibutsu-kun and Ohno Satoshi fans), and they were like "I want to go there! I want to go there!". Erm, airplane tickets are required to go there, kiddo. Your aunty is not a rich lady ^^'

And yep, hope more and more people will come to Japan ♥
