I'm going to Fukuoka in few days and would like to know if there are official johnny's shop and some unofficial shops in Fukuoka. Also the same info for Nagoya will be nice =)
There's an official shop in Fukuoka in Tenjin. It's kind of on a back street, but if you take the subway or the bus to Tenjin and get to the main road, go on (I think it's call Sakura Dori, can't remember specifically) the road away from the main shopping plaza. The Johnyy's shop is just off the main road, right near the intersection where the Mandarake used to be (I think it's still a big ol' husk of a building, at least it was a month ago), somewhat near a Tully's coffee. Sorry I can't give you more specific notes on the location.
I used to live in Fukuoka, so I can give you a bit more detail for the official shop...
If you go to Tenjin Station and head out of the central exit towards Showa Dori, you will find the West1 Exit (西1出口).
When you come out of the exit, you actually need to do a 180 and walk towards the daiei depeartment store that you will be able to see across the street. Don't cross the street though. Turn the corner (you will be on the 602 highway) and head towards the Mos Burger and McDonalds. Pass those two (as well as the 7-11 convenience store and the AU, and at that corner, turn left down the side street. Walk to the next block, and you will see the bright pink Johnny's sign on the 2nd floor of the building on your left. It's hard to miss.
Here is the address:
〒810-0001 福岡市中央区天神3-15-17 三天第2ビル2F
You can also get there via the bus. Getting off at Tenjin-Kita, you will end up right across the street from daiei and can follow the same directions to get to the shop as I stated above.
This official shop rivals Nagoya in small-ness... But it's probably still easier to get things than trying in Tokyo.
For Nagoya (I've been to this shop a few times)...
The closest way to get there is to get off at ShinSakaemachi Station and use exit #1 (1番出口). You will be facing the 153 at that point. Cross the 153 and keep walking straight along Nishiki Dori. After a few minutes, you will pass a Lawsons on your right. Then, when you cross the 19, you will come to the Komeda's Coffee, you will see the Johnny's bright pink neon sign on the 2nd floor of the gray building in the next block. There is a big sign that says プロト on the very top of the building. To get in, go into the building and take the stairs to the second floor.
Here is the address for the Nagoya JE shop: 〒461-0005 名古屋市東区東桜2-14-7 プロト
If you go through Sakae Station, it's a little bit longer of a walk, but you can get there by taking the #4 exit (4番出口). And walking away from the Nagoya TV tower towards the 41. There is a pedestrian bridge that you have to use in order to stay on the left side of the road. If you don't walk on it, there's an area that will force you to make you cross Nishiki Dori twice to get just right across from the side street... so take the pedestrian bridge. Once you cross the 41, keep walking till you see a 10 story building. The building next to it will be gray, and that's the Nagoya Johnny's shop.
I used to live in Nagoya, so I can tell you that the shop in Nagoya is pretty small, but it's usually not crowded and it's pretty easy to get to. If you take the Higashiyama line on the subway (the yellow line) and get off at Shinsakaemachi, take the #1 exit. It's a straight walk from there but I can't remember which direction you take--sorry about that! This is all from memory, but I know Shinsakaemachi is the right stop.
As for unofficial shops, there are a couple along the back streets in Sakae by the Parco department store. If you get off at the Yaba-cho stop on the Meijo line (the purple line), exit (I think exit #6 but I'm not positive) and then find Parco and walk between the buildings (there's a few of them), you can see shops with idol posters out front. These usually have unofficial calendars, posters, keychains, shop photos, old uchiwas, etc.
I have a series of post with general info and directions to the J-shops here: http://eirwen555.livejournal.com/23679.html Missing Fukuoka, since it's the only one I haven't been to, but hopefully the one on Nagoya should be of assistance to you. Good luck and have fun!
