anan issue release tomorrow. cover Sho-kun again. from editor <deep shooting time that was developed in the black tent!> this week cover is Sho Sakurai-san, he actor serious but slightly unique doctor in the movie God’s medical note. today’s shooting, he show inadvertently heartbreaking sexiness. on the cover the shooting based on white color, when you turn the page, in reversal, the aspect of Sakurai-san who stand manly. on the shooting day, huge black tent appeared as requested by photographer. the shooting was held in the space covered with black cloth from floor to wall. in the tent minimum people entered. we could share very deep time. a bit mischievous smile, relax smile, sexy face, facial expression and poses of Sakurai-san that changes one to another, staffs kept saying “cool!” and upper arm muscle that is seen from cloth, please watch his charming body parts too. the pages you can watch Sakurai-san different from TV and movie. please enjoy it.

part timer staff blog <completion of shooting> Hello, it’s Hashimoto (*^-^*) today we shot on-site shooting in Yokohama under heat. we could complete shooting without trouble(≧◇≦) I fell sad rather then feel pleases.(T-T) in the end it was scene of Nino-kun and Karina-chan’s scene, this was completion of all of shooting. This time there are many nice scene of Seiji and Manami, we had completion day it was just past like flash. I appreciate to produce a piece again all together adn I wanted to do it together even more. this on air autumn, so it still have time. I hope to upload photos at site telling editing for finish. please continue to support us. so today thank you all of casts and staffs in spite of hot days. Thank you.(*^O^*)

That Tokyo Sports is amusing.

So, despite for ~3-4 years now people going on how Arashi is after SMAP, now it's SMAP directly to K8? I like K8, but I don't think they'll ever have the kind of popularity Arashi has. Well, all the groups have their own differences, but for them to just eradicate Arashi from the picture all together is dumb and kind of insulting. Arashi won't ever be SMAP, and same goes for K8. SMAP is awesome. Arashi is awesome. K8 is awesome. All in their own.

Ah well~ whatever lol. Not going to be too serious about this xD.

I like K8, but I don't think they'll ever have the kind of popularity Arashi has.

it's hard to say actually, many years ago no one would have thought that arashi would become like today as well, and the biggest reason for smap's popularity is their versatility in variety shows and not how good they can sing/dance or how chummy they are.

i guess in the media comparison is inevitable, but i agree that they are all good in their own different ways ~

Well, what I meant (probably shouldn't have said it like that) is that whatever popularity they get, it just won't be the same. They have their own unique qualities and Arashi has theirs. Doesn't mean that they won't become popular (they already are)- just that it won't be the same kind of popularity. To each their own ways really. Like I said, all three are awesome groups in their own right. Their popularity (whatever level, doesn't matter) is their own unique kind.

I never watched their shows before (except that short part where Ohno appeared to promote UtaOni)... so I can't say much on this. But one thing for sure, I love Arashi (& their variety shows) because of their personalities (at least the ones shown on TV...). I love watching how they communicate/work together despite the differences in their personalities on their variety shows.. the funny things I saw I usually consider as bonuses (I still can enjoy an episode even if it's not that funny)...

smap is unike as arashi and Kanjani....they dont need a successor...
all this bands are really different at everything...different personalities, bond, songs, singing abilities everything is different...
and maybe yes kanjani is funniest that arashi...but arashi are not successful for been only funny but for there bond... is the only band that i have seen who communicates so good...and you cam actually see that...

That's so like Sho. He thinks like a real actor (not that I would ever know tho :p) in going to see the real deal.

Tokyo sports shouldn't just skip over Arashi. But even if I disagree, I think their pov is interesting, in that Arashi is chummy which makes their shows heartwarming while K8 might have more of a commedian feel. Well anyway, in the end although it's true Arashi is heartwarming, they're also funny! Heck! Their funny variety shows was the first reasons some fans signed on before realizing how hot they are.

What's with all this "post SMAP" "post Arashi". They are who they are and that makes them special. SMAP is special on their own and they have their charm and they dont need a "post SMAP", they will always be SMAP. Arashi also work their own ways to get their popularity now. They dont need to be a post-whoever and no one will become "post Arashi". These three different groups may come from the same agency but I think each have their own specialty that attracts their own fans. K8 will always be K8 that is unique and comical.

This is Arashi's fault. It's been a truly slow news period after the album release. Yes, there were the 2 drama specials announcement, and Sakurai's just about everywhere, but Arashi? No news worthy of flail at the moment, which leaves room for lots of BS.

I hope they'll have group projects coming in the last quarter of the year.

Before anyone else frets, Isn't Tokyo Sports at the lowest end of the ladder in Japan, even concerning tabloids? Not to mention the mentioning of Korean idols in the article for no reason (didn't Kisumai sell very well for their debut, how are they "losing" to Korean artists anyway?) alongside the names of Arashi and SMAP seems like pressed attempts to get readers. No point in getting worked up.

it's not about that... we don't love Arashi only because of their ability to make us laugh.. but also the fact that they have something more amazing than that.. like their bond with each other.. you know when it's arashi there's a different aura coming out which makes you feel at ease....
so its not only about the ability to make people laugh... by the way arashi isn't a comedian..... and not only that I have only watched 1 kanjani8 concert and other performances from other music show but Arashi performs better than them... even in dancing.. so...*yeah... I'm biased sorry but that's what I think*

at this moment i think there is no group who can replace Arashi, it's true K8 are being strongly promoting by appearing beside arashi in several drama: Quiz show, Utaoni, Ryuusei, My girl. Like... they are next Arashi. But Arashi have a unique feeling among them and with people, which can't be played or pretended.
i'll support Arashi no matter what.

To be honest I don't really care about this whole Smap's successor issue. I mean, I love Smap, I love Kanjani8, and of course, I more than love Arashi. Arashi has done things that others haven't, same goes to other groups. They are all unique and interesting in their own ways. Even if Arashi is not as popular as how they used to be, I would still be their fan. Because it's them that I love, not their popularity.

I wish those gossip tabloids would stop comparing once and for all. Sigh.

I don't think Smap can ever be replaced nor do I think Arashi can ever be replaced either.
These 2 groups have create a milestone in Japan's entertainment industry in their own unique way where both cannot cross out nor defeat each other.
As for Kanjani8, they might or might not be popular in the years to come, but definitely not overtaking their 2 senpai groups, but probably in their own unique way as well. To simplify it, Arashi is irreplaceable. And I do not even know why I sometimes feel a little frustrated at this kinda news when I jolly well know I can actually ignore it, but I can't :( No one should be compared. How I wish they stop comparing Arashi... :'(

well im just gonna say again what i always said but tabloids fails to understand...
SMAP is SMAP, Arashi is Arashi, Eito is Eito!!!!
EACH and ALL the group have their own unique charm and they have all work hard to have their own identity and never did they try to become anyone successor or the next SMAP..
they are successful and popular because of their own charm, hard work and not by copying their senpai :P

Arashi is funny in their own way and yeah they are very heartwarminng chummy group which is one of their selling point and even if they not funny i will still watching them and they still make me laugh and smile no matter what<3
SMAP is awesome and they pretty much a LEGENDARY group and it totally impossible for any group no matter how popular they are to accomplish whatever SMAP have achieve in their 20 yrs career because they are totally from different era and time :P
SMAP kinda have it little easier with the rating around their peak time because at the time people love watching tv and not that affected with internet, digital or recording and people still love collecting cd and not downloading like nowadays...
and the kouhai group have much harder time now because of recession, internet, people prefer to record show rather than watching real time which affecting rating a LOT, hard to sells single nowadays so what Arashi manage to achieve is really amazing considering it really hard for other people to do it anymore :P
if Arashi is popular during SMAP time im positive they can sell millionth easily and get 20-30% easily but time have change and arashi have gve their best<3

and Eito is also great group though im not into their song but i love them as group and their wonderful long friendship and history with Arashi<3
they obviously very funny and good at talking...
yeah they are rival with Arashi but at the same time they are really good friend and always support each other so no matter what tabloid say it just BS :P
and im sure they will getting more and more popular which is nice but they are definitely not the next SMAP or Arashi...
and they all respect SMAP but never SMAP successor because they are creating their own legend and records^^

lol sorry for my long essay just need to get out my frustration with those tabloid and well no matter what i say the tabloid will never stop with their stupid comparing^^;
well i just hope Arashi and Eito will continue their great friendship forever no matter what people trying to make them go against each other and stay as healthy rival<3

just curious, is arashi's popularity already decreasing? is this the reason why these successor things never die...last week its kattun and now is k8...

also, i think it all boils down to the media really. a few years back i dont think nobody really expected that the dorky group arashi will be THIS big...and its all because of the media, so same goes for k8 if thats true : exposure = surge in popularity...

It's not like there is a position like "President of Johnny's" anyway.
I agree that K8 are crazier and maybe can make people laugh more (I don't watch their shows, but Arashi's heartwarming feel is what makes me like them anyway.
