Hey!

I have some questions for the Arashi fans that are living/lived in Japan. I just moved here and I’m kinda confused. Yeah, I know it seems stupid to ask here rather than asking in a shop, but my japanese is not the best, so I have a hard time understanding some stuff.

First of all, how can you buy the first press editions of Arashi’s CDs/DVDs in Japan? I guess you can’t find them in shops ( or can you? ). In my country I used to preorder from YesAsia, but as I’m here now, I’m thinking it has to be an easier way.

Secondly, I went to Gorakudoh in Harajuku to ask if they have an Arashi ticket for January, and they said something about 2 weeks and gave me a paper with their website. I didn’t understood what they said ( though I asked them to repeat a few times >.< ) Anyone ever bought tickets from there? Do you have any idea what about “two weeks” can it be? To come two weeks before the concert/two weeks from now or…?

Also, did anyone ever bough an Arashi ticket from Gorakudoh under 80.000 yen?

I would be very grateful for any answer!

I can only answer part of this since I've never bought tickets from Gorakudoh before, but this year, it seems like Johnny's isn't mailing out the tickets until about two weeks before the actual show. I'm assuming that that's what they were talking about.

As for first press editions, once the release date has been announced, you can usually pre-order them at music stores. Tsutaya, for example, has a wall of pre-order slips for things that will be released soon.

You can pre-order CDs off sites like Amazon.jp, HMV Japan, etc. Also, all of the larger stores can accept in store pre-orders. They'll give you a slip and you can return with the slip once the CD releases. Stores should carry them normally as well but first press/limited editions will sell out very quickly so if you don't go the day the CD releases, you will probably be out of luck. I usually always per-order.

Gorakudoh only deals with the sale of physical tickets. Right now, people only know if they hit for a ticket via the ballot or not. They don't have the actual physical ticket yet. Tickets will be mailed to ballot winners about 2 weeks before the concert. Once the tickets have been mailed out, then they will start appearing for sale at Gorakudoh. I highly doubt you will see any priced at 80000yen or below given that the going rate for a ticket is about 120000yen right now. Also, since none of the remaining venues are in Tokyo, Gorakudoh will probably have a limited selection of tickets and the fewer tickets available for sale, the higher the prices tend to be.

If you order online they will ship it to you. If you go to the store itself and pre-order, you can just return to the store later and get the CD once it releases.

So you know, CDs go on sale Tuesday night at most stores. You usually can get the LE then, but to be safe you can always preorder up until the Monday before the release.

I do recommend you preorder albums and DVD as soon as you can. I also recommend that you get your CDs from Tower where they have an awesome point card system.

Good luck with getting tickets! Tokyo Dome will be the most expensive and I don't doubt that the Harajuku stores will be selling the few they have for about 150,000 each. For 3rd floor...

I'm in a shock... The price of the tickets abnormal... How much does an avarage ticket cost? Can I buy a ticket altogether if I am not FC?

totally off subject, but how did you get to move to Japan? and what do you do there? I'd ideally like to move there one day, but it's really a scary prospect...

I'm pretty sure you can pre-order their releases from stores like HMV.

My sister and I got REALLY lucky when we got tickets there: 2 tickets for 5x10 in Tokyo Dome in the first level stands, 10th row for ¥150,000 (¥75,000 each). When we asked about the tickets, they immediately took the tickets to the manager 'cause I think they marked the price incorrectly. After some pleading, they eventually gave us the tickets for the low price, haha. All the other tickets in the first level stands were almost ¥100,000 EACH. So yeah, we totally lucked out that time.

Good luck to you :] So jealous of you for living there~

If you want to buy CDs before they are released, go to Tower records to the J pop section. They will have slips of paper with the CD name on them usually. Take them to the counter and they will do the pre-order for you. You might need some basic Japanese though - enough to fill out a form.

you can order your CD through any music/book store, tsutaya or even sometimes bookoff as well as amazon.co.jp or rakuten to name the bigger ones. if you are ordering through the stores, some allow phone orders, and some make you go in to the store. I usually call first because Arashi's been so popular that the preorders sell out (which makes no sense to me still).

gorakudoh is probably one of the most expensive places you can try to buy a ticket from, but they are the safest. There are cheaper tickets on mixi or auction but you might get swindled if you are not careful, and it requires you to know Japanese. Gorakudoh will not have January con tickets because we FC members don't have them yet. if you are trying to go to a Tokyo venue show, they tend to lower the prices the closer it gets to the show day/time.

Good luck!

:) You've probably gotten your answer above, but here are my two cents!

What I usually do is go to Tower Records and make a preorder with a preorder slip that's usually ready at the counters, then pick it up on Tuesday nights (or any day after the release, if I don't have the time). There's no extra charges and you don't have to pay any deposit amount when preordering.

As for tickets, I bought Tokyo Dome tickets for 5x10 from Gorakudoh once. Arena was about 100,000yen and stands was 80,000yen. Of course, now that they're much more popular it's bound to be higher than this! It's probably the most expensive thing I will ever buy in life but it was worth every single yen. I was lucky I was on a scholarship or I would never have the chance since I have never hit ANY ballot in life!

Good luck and enjoy Japan, it's a magical place :)

I can't help with any of the questions but I've always wondered about tickets too... so was just wondering, if you do go to Japan with the intention of seeing an arashi concert, is the easiest way to get a ticket to buy one from somewhere like gorakudoh? And are the chances of getting a ticket high? (just that it's freakin expensive?)

I can't help either, but I'm totally bookmarking this topic... I'm planning on going to Japan in a year or two on exchange, and of course I'd like to know about Arashi CDs and concerts too. But it seems pretty impossible to get to one! >< Ughh...I wonder if there's any hope at all! :( And if there would be any point in becoming an FC member for just that one year. o.O

Anyway, good luck with everything over there! :D Hope you'll adjust quickly!
(P.S. If you don't mind me asking, which school are you studying at?)

If you can speak japanese you can order by phone, I usually use this way call to Tower record near your home, they will give you order no and you can go to shop after CDs release.I ordered it already three week ago.

Pre-order from Amazon.jp very hard to get it because it sold out very fast(only one hour after up to website) but I usually got it too(LE edition one person/only one cd) If you want to buy DVD recommended to pre-order from Amazon has discount too(LE also very hard to get it)

I'm FC member two year, this year I got ticket(FC ticket). I'll going will my friends next Jan at Osaka^^

The ticket from Gorakudou this year very very expensive, 150,000~+ base from Osaka Dome(on July 24) I went to Osaka dome for buy concert goods.
Arena seat 300,000~++
under 100,000yen can not found

you can find ticket on internet at www.ticket.co.jp If you need more cheapper,I'm recommended to go to Hokkaido(next year) price about 49,000yen~ 3fl stand. My friend got Arena seat at 69,000yen(lucky)from ticket.co.jp

Hope you'll get ticket as soon.
