even though they're "scandal" pictures, it shows that they're people too

if you can post your party pics on facebook and not be criticized about it, why should they be criticized for pics other people posted?

I find this in extreme bad taste as well. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the source of these "party pictures." They're not mere "party pictures." The JE idols in these pics are grown men and of course they have adult relationships. That's not what I'm criticizing. What's objectionable is the book in which these pics were published and the manner in which it was released. These pictures belonged to a former Japanese idol who dated members of JE before later becoming a porn actress. This same woman committed suicide earlier this year. She's the one you see in the pics with the eyes blurred out.

The publishers of this book marketed it after her death as an "expose." "OMG, JE idols dated a porn actress who suicided!", even though she wasn't a porn actress at the time the pics were taken. There's a whole bunch of other tabloid fodder that goes along with this topic, but that's another story. To me, these pics are disgusting because they were published in an attempt to capitalize on a woman's suicide/death.

The poster knew this and she posted it anyway. She has the right to post, but then again, people have just as much of a right to criticize her if they see it as an attempt to start wank.

Oh. I don't mind the post so much (since I heard/read these scandals about this AV actress already), but I wish the picture of Ohno would have been after a cut or something so people like me can choose not to see it...

I think the pics are hilarious. What, you mean they are normal teenage guys? If you were a 16 year old guy and you have beautiful girls throwing themselves at you all the time, would you say 'no'? No guy alive would say 'no'! And if you don't believe that, you're a girl! Lol. If they were chaste for real, they would be damn boring. I like to think I'd have fun hanging out with them and not that they are super serious all the time. Everyone needs time to wind down and get their rocks off. Don't blame them for being just like the rest of us (only beautiful and perfect! Hahaha).

As far as the origin of the pictures goes - yes, that's a very sad story. But she specifically gave those pictures to be shown to the public, didn't she? Then she killed herself a couple of weeks later. Doesn't that mean her last wish was to have them made public, for whatever reason? Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm being lazy and not looking up the article I read about it.

Men will never show this kind of pictures unless to blackmail. Might be she felt jealous with other girls exist in these boys life. People who suffer illness like hers may have strong jealousy syndrome.
If she really love/treasure freindship with the boys she will not have done this. I think she wanted to hurt somebody's feelings. I wonder why the boys/JE didn't comment or take action on the publication of the book? I wonder? I'm just curious.

I guess this is really a cultural difference between America and Japan. From my perspective, there is nothing incriminating in those pictures. Looks like a bunch of friends at a party. They aren't even visibly drinking or smoking. So she was friends with these guys. There are other girls in the pictures also. So what? Surely they aren't ALL gay! Lol. (JK) If we read anything into those pictures, it's just our imaginations. Sure, all kinds of stuff probably goes on in the private lives of the rich and famous, but those pictures don't prove anything.

Who knows what the girl was thinking when she exposed those pictures. She had fallen from a national idol (however briefly) who dated Johnny's to an AV actress. Her decision making skills come into question. With all the Japanese emphasis on what others think, that was probably a long fall for her. Maybe the pictures were a tribute to her former self.

I'm just gonna pretend I didn't see those pictures :) I know my idols are only human and if it was a mistake then be it. If it wasn't then it must have been a fun time. I'm not going to judge them since I don't know them in real life. An idol is an idol ♥

I don't know... I just think it's nice see those pics. There are a lot of fans that worship them too much, acting like there were virgins. Come on, they are only partying and dating like we do! What the problem with that?
