Trip to Hokkaido!
Dec. 11th, 2011 03:40 pmHi I will be going to Hokkaido next week and I'm ready to fulfill part of my fangirling dream!
Just 3 things I want to ask:
1. Kaibutsu-kun eiga! How to buy movie tickets in Japan and where to check movie timings. Is there a website online that we can go to and check out the timings?
2. Is there a place where I can buy JE merchandise in Hokkaido?
3. Anything fangirly things you guys suggest I should do in Hokkaido?

Date: 2011-12-11 05:11 pm (UTC)1. you can just go to the cinema directly and ask about the prices... where in hokkaido will you go to, anyway? because if it's sapporo, the 3d movie's ticket price is 1800yen... but if you go on thursday, it should be discounted since it's girl's day...
2. yes, there is, in sapporo.
3. Yes. And that is to go to the Sapporo Underground Walkway and take pictures of and with the humongous arashi AU and Hitachi billboards... XD

Date: 2011-12-11 05:43 pm (UTC)1. So easy to get tickets. The official movie site should have links to the movie theater that is showing the movie along with the time. When you buy your ticket, you can choose where you want to seat (They don't do this in America and I was so surprised the first time). In addition to Ladies Day, the last show of the day after 8PM is usually discounted too.
2. Sorry, can't help you there ^^;
3. If you watched Nino's Yasashii Jikan, it was filmed in Furano which is about 45 minutes away from Sapporo. You can visit all the places that they filmed there including the Clock cafe! Furano is famous for their lavender, but I don't know if the farm is open in the winter.

Date: 2011-12-11 07:00 pm (UTC)So: Go to Furano, if you are a fan. You will definitely enjoy the trip itself just... well, because you are simply THERE and can find all the places you know from Yasashii Jikan (or Ikuta Toma's movie, if you are a Johnny's fan in general)... and there is always the unforgettable moment of getting there on your own while speaking very simple Japanese and getting attention because you are not Japanese and making photos of places/buildings/whatever looking completely ordinary. I visited Kisarazu on a lazy working day and it was worth the trip itself^^

Date: 2011-12-11 11:15 pm (UTC)And, if you're going to on the weekend, I'd still go ahead and by your ticket at least an hour in advance to make sure you get the seat you want. Especially if you like sitting in the back half of the theater. I was in row G when I went to see it and everyone sat behind me with it being completely empty in front of me.

Date: 2011-12-12 01:13 am (UTC)1. I'm living in Sapporo and me and my friend always go to United Cinema (http://www.unitedcinemas.jp/sapporo/film.php?movie=2711&from=daily). the price is ¥1,900 but you have to buy the 3D glasses so the price goes to ¥2,000. And for Kaibutsu-kun movie theres is no special price for ladies day.
2. We know a place where you can buy some concerts goods, calendars and official photos.
3. There is a lot places here in Sapporo and Hokkaido that you can visit like the girls here said. But now is really cold and snowing almost every day, so be careful!

Date: 2011-12-12 06:52 am (UTC)It is the Mandarake shop like the ones in Tokyo. It is on department store Cosmo, I don't know the address exactly but I think you can find at the Mandarake or Cosmo websites.

The first time I went I thought it was a little tricky to find. You can get off at Odoori Station on the subway and walk from there. The building is on the corner of the covered shopping street and a cross street (I don't remember which one - sorry!) and the bottom floor is UNIQLO. So just walk in there and Mandarake is on the 5 or 6th floor. I was surprised at how much Johnnys stuff they had! They had a whole bin of old concert good and Johnnys Juniors book from the 1990s. Lots of Arashi, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to browse! :)
Have fun! I'm living in Hokkaido at the moment (about an hour outside of Sapporo) and I love it! It's cold this time of year, but beautiful! Just bring snow boots!! :)
