Kohaku twitter at 9:03 Good morning, 29 at 9 in the morning at NHK hall participant singers came and and rehearsal has started. at first started with girls generation at 10:03 at 10am at corner of NHK hall, participant and MC meeting has been started. red team Mao Inoue-san and white team Arashi, and general MC Abe announcer have meeting with participant singers with script book. currently they greet and have meeting with Kara-san. at 10:51 and at audience lobby of NHK press conf. is held. there’s red carpet, and participant singers who have finished rehearsal and meeting appears in order, they answer questions from over 180 median and photo shooting. currently Nana Mizuki-san having photo shooting. at 11:07 5of Tokio having meeting with Arashi, this is fun atmosphere junior and senior at 12:16 rehearsal panned in the morning has been over at 13:21 NHK hall after lunch break, rehearsal restarted. afternoon started with AKB 48. at 14:48 at stage rehearsal of Furusato is over. this is original song that was produced last year Kohakuk. after a year that happened many things, we listen not this song, this song resonate with new sound. Piano by Sakurai-san was beautiful sound charged many people feeling. at 15:48 meeting with MC Saburo Kitajima-san with Arashi. at 21:09 at stage Arashi who finished MC meeting started sound check of “2011 Kohaku medley.” 2 years ago was quick change of costume, last year was staging using fire. what kind of staging this year it would be? let’s see the performance

Come on today’s quote ”you have plenty time, if you use well.” this is right. “this is word of Goethe, German poet. the person who mourns busy must not use time well.” this is as he says. well, this could happens.  and also he wants to say so (?) sort of he wanted to mention it. well me.. well this year year end after all I’m busy. but my alter ego says “but, you really so busy, you?” yet. this is matter how much you consider this is busy. if this is that you don’t have time to sleep.  so in my mind, if I think carefully.I think I’m not so busy. wh. today is that one, every body. 12/29 Kurihara-san, this is last. do you listen? Kurihara-san, this is final of year. you had good work. right, I have about 10 years relatioships with Kurihara-san. he has never taken me to bar in Yokohama. but we met once. he came to concert. and he came our from toilet, he said “see you later, see you later “ he has gone to somewhere. Kaibutsukun box office numbers looking a bit sad... i hope it can cover the production cost.

I think the movie will just be able to earn to break even. Movies usually have to earn 2 times the production cost at the box office just to break even as one has to factor in promotions cost and the distributor/moviehouse share.

What Eiga Kaibutsu-kun has that most movies don't is its merchandising power. It had so many pre-screening commercial tie-ins, and tons of merchandise was sold. Plus Ohno seems to be good in selling DVDs and that kiddie movies sell DVDs well so I think they'll earn a lot there. And NTV can capitalize on this merchandising for years to come. I bet they decided to make the movie after seeing how much they earned in terms of drama-related goods. Because the drama's ratings were only good, not stellar. Like how Cars was one of Pixar's lowest-earning films at the box office but is its most profitable one overall due to all the merchandise sold.
