[identity profile] jrifhjpd.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] arashi_on
Sorry, to bother you (again) with questions regarding my own traveling, BUT, I'm going to ask those who live in Tokyo (or are just generally knowledgeable) if anyone know anything Arashi-poi to do in Tokyo next week?
Perhaps they are starting to film their TV-shows? But I'm not hoping to get tickets to that anyways.
Anything else to look out for? Or if someone wants to meet up for tea-time, that would be nice. (As I don't know any places.)
Sorry if this post don't fit here =_=

By the way, Happy New Year everyone!

I think it would be awesome if we all could create some kind of masterpost with Arashi-related places to visit.

it's impossible to get to go to one of their shows if you are not living in Japan because they are very strict with the rules. Even if you are in the FC, you have to have an ID with an address matching your FC registered address. Through the TV stations, there are only 50 people (or less) that get tickets and they must also have an ID with a Japanese address.

I have been to a few Arashi related places, you can check out this link (http://aishitsuzukeru.livejournal.com/tag/meguri%20tour%3A%20arashi) if you wanna see the places I've been to.

Have fun!

they film their regular shows on tuesdays and wednesdays.

I was an extra in the show (will be in episode 2). I am on the mailing list for extras so we get a mail a few days before they need extras places and we can apply if we want to go. the show is based out of shinagawa, so a lot of the filming is there. There is a display in Fuji TV right now (in Odaiba) of the set and with some full body panels of the cast.

they had a sign up before the drama started. we usually have to send in a picture of ourselves when they choose if it's a small number of extras that they need.

hope you run in to J!

There is the Johnnys building in Shibuya that has Arashi stuff like movie posters, awards they have won etc.

if you do a search, there are a few lj posts on drama locations.

sometimes the conbinis have arashi related goods on sale if they are doing a drama and Tower records might have a display if there is a single out.

if you watch old Shukadai episodes, you can find lots of places to eat :)

Oh and if you want to really punish your wallet, skip the fake idol shops in Harajuku (most of their stuff is poor quality) and head to Nakano Broadway which is the most weird collection of shops. I think it's on the second level, there is a shop with heaps of real merchanside - stuff from concerts, promos and even back issues of the newsletter from #1! It's worth going even if you don't buy anything and it's all real stuff. Actually there are two shops, but one seems more focused on the older JE bands - SMAP, tokio etc. Plus another shop with the standard photos etc.

You can tour Fiji TV. I went a few years ago and you'd have hardly known Arashi had a show there but, with their booming popularity over the past few years, they might have a lot more stuff now.

I live in Tokyo, we could go together to a few Arashi related places. But when are you coming? I'll be in Nagoya for the concert on 8, but after that I have time.
