A Compilation of Subbing Teams' Project Lists

Hello! I was wondering if anybody knows if there is a compilation/master list of all of the Arashi subbing teams'/subbers' projects? Cause with how many subbers there are, it's really hard to check everyone's project lists at once to ensure no collision.

I thought I had a link to one (though it was only Arashi's regular shows), but my computer crashed and I lost the link. If anybody knows of that, that would be helpful (^_^)

If not, I'm thinking of starting one up. But if one exists, it would save some trouble.

Oh, no, I mean "currently subbing/translating but not released yet." That one's for already released video, but since subbing takes a long time, people end up working on the same videos and we only realise it when one side releases the video before the other, and then the other side is like, "Dang it. Energy wasted."

I think subbing teams they have their way to communicate to make sure there were no overlapping. But there were some cases that the episodes were so good that they loved to sub and came up with multiple releases. IMO, I think its fine, especially not all fans are able to access all communities.

But I think its a good idea to make one as you suggested.

No, cause I just asked 2 communities if there was something, and there's not (^_^)> People sometimes re-release things because people request them, but usually it's because they don't know someone else is working on it, though sometimes it's because the first person didn't do as good of a job as they wanted it. Usually, we can check each others' project lists, but with so many subbing teams and subbers, it's hard. I say this cause the last 2 times I tried to find something to sub, I kept finding others already doing it, but it hasn't been released yet, especially since a lot of groups work on a lot of projects gradually.

And true about not having access. But I actually don't know many besides stormy_team that were that restrictive. Usually if you just answer a question and say you'll abide by their rules, most communities let you in.

I don't think there's one that is currently updated, so maybe create one will be a good idea, tho at the end of the day subbing teams are going to release the projects they wanna work on, but it would be helpful to see who's working in what, and maybe either work on something else (unless you really, really wanna work on it) or if you're looking for an specific video you can know who's working in it and then go there to get it.

I as part of a subbing team, think have a new one will be a good idea.

Yeah, I think we ought to make a new one and have people update their stuff there. Cause since winter break started 2 months ago, I was like, "Whee, can sub something~!!" but everything I thought of, someone else would have, so it's like stepping in a mine zone. Most people check if the thing they wanna sub has been subbed via the subbed video lists, but it's harder to check the 10-15 different "currently subbing" lists. But just in case, I checked to see if the previous upholder of the projects list plans to work on it. Otherwise, I think a googledoc would probably be good. What d'you think?

think that would be good idea, tho would be needed that the teams want to have to keep the list updated with what they are working on, or having someone to update the list continuously to not lose track .

I think google docs is a great idea. It's just that some teams don't have the time or can't be bothered editing it but I really think it's worth a try ^^ It'll make choosing projects alot easier!

Yeah, but you also don't really need to edit the list except when you decide to work on a project, and at that time, you're already opening like 10 different project lists to see if you don't overlap with people. So just opening one google doc where you can simultaneously edit it (since it saves automatically, yay!) shouldn't be a hassle. But if people are still lazy, we can have people check in on their project lists if they don't want to edit the compilation list.

Well there was that masterpost by fecundeety, but that hasn't been updated since April 2011 so uhhh yeah...can't think of any master list that's more recent than that tbh...
