1st their sales are the same! the same nothing have changed the most they sell are 700.000...

2nd i'm sorry but himistu is a little boring it used to be my favorite tv show from them but this limo segment and the rest are boring!!!! its not their fault they're doing their best ....

3rd AKB sales 1.000.000+ everytime how it impossible for arashi to be 1 and they have never (except A.RA.SHI i think) sale 1.000.000 singles...

5th smap and smap they almost have nothing in common...
i usually don't care about all that this magazines writes but that's a lot :P

These gossip rags seems quite desperate lately.. Seems someone hasn't told them Arashi just had their third best week in sales.. And the fact that their fanclub have more members than ever before!
Himitsu's ratings has never been so good anyway, but if you look at all the other shows the channels offer, the ratings doesn't differ that much.. It's a difficult competition between the channels, but I seriously think it's the directors and producers that needs to sit down, discuss and make a show that isn't limited to fans only (like HnA). If the fans are starting to back away from HnA, then I don't think the regular people are enjoying it either.
I dislike this "leave all the ratings to the popularity and don't mind the content" thinking going on lately.
I think the HnA director has a funky thinking, with the music choice, the drop comments and of course the feeling of wanting to tease Arashi, but it's too bad he doesn't seem to use it into corner ideas, but just for clipping.

I think Arashi has definitely peaked, they are not going to get any more popular, however, that doesn't mean their popularity is in the decline, you just have to look at the sales of their singles, they are consistent, AKB might be selling twice as much (with their marketing strategies it isn't surprising) but that hasn't affected their sales at all. If it weren't for AKB they would be the 1# selling artist.

Their TV shows are another story, HnA is boring now and the ratings reflect that, but that is the fault of the producers.

yeah HnA is getting so boring but not the boys fault, they not the one who control the content of the show, they did their best for the show but not everything depend on them...

and like i always say SMAP is SMAP and Arashi is Arashi there is nothing to compare except they are both national idol but from different era and completely different group :P

yeah Arashi have passed their peak, they are very stable group that have loyal fanbase and still more popular than any other group and they are still well like...

Want to ruin your day? Ready Cyzo. Gah. They simply focused on acting last year instead of releasing so many singles. Even if they are an artist, they have other avenues. Plus, Wild at Heart is doing better than the two singles last year.

I find HnA boring, but it does not mean Arashi's popularity is already declining. Arashi is still pretty much on the top. Even if they are not, so what? They are not in it for the popularity. They want to stay the same for their fans and bring joy and smiles, and they sure are able to do that.

1) lol at Cyzo! I mean, we're talking about Cyzo, so what do you expect? Right now all the guys have something on (solo or group work) so it's sure that Cyzo would write something bad about them!
I don't think Arashi is becoming less popular. I mean, hellllloooo?! They're the main personnalities for 24hr TV, they are the idols who had a mini concert in Sendai, Wild at Heart had damn good starting sales, they all have a drama/ movie in process and most of all, they had Tokyo Tower Arashified!!! So I don't think it's the meaning of becoming less famous.
And even if it was the case, who cares? We are true fans, right? As for me I like Arashi even before they become that famous and even from time to time I think it would be good for them to have less work, look at some pics, they're all tired é_è

Also i think it's ridiculous to compare Arashi to Smap. I won't write about it because as I said it's ridiculous. Both groups are totaly different! Cyzo, your argument is invalid! n_n
And about Arashi VS AKB1864682... blah! -_-' The sales comparison is too stupid, their agencies have different way of selling their product. It is simply logical that a group that sells 10 versions of one song sells more than the one who only product 2 versions.

On another topic, I'm really worried for Sho-chan D: I hope he's alright. I was already worried seeing him so skinny and tired but now knowing he almost fainted. I'm glad that Black Board shooting is over. Now Sho-chan get some (well needed) sleep and E-A-T!!!!!

I can't understand when people compare Arashi and AKB' sales, please, the million sales of AKB dont reflect their actual popularity at national level. I mean, there are some core male fans who spend all their money buying 200 pieces of the same single just to make their favorite girl to the cover or get a hand shake...
I'm glad Johnnys don't do that, it's quite pathetic to put members against each other... I would hate to see Arashi members in a serious popularity battle against each other. It's not the same that Mannequin or anything, AKB girls get mad and cry if they are not voted high... sad..

On Cyzo: It's funny that they think Arashi is overexposed. Considering the most popular group in Japan right now is AKB48, Arashi isn't even half as exposed as them (btw I love AKB too).

On HnA: I do think it's declining. I think it's because all 5 members don't appear anymore unless it's a Mannequin 5 special. While the VIP limo is interesting (and obviously you don't want too many people going on a date) I miss all 5 members appearing regularly. HnA producers need to come up with new corners soon! And when will both members of Othello be back?
