[identity profile] awa-naj.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] arashi_on
I am writing an article about Arashi and what they have done for the earthquake's victims. So far, I have the Sanspo article which talked about the total of their donation, the news that Jun and Ohno visits the victim areas, Sho's continuous documentary on the earthquake areas, the ongaku no chikara's video where they went and held the concert there and the VSA episode with the victims.

I would be grateful if all of you can point me out about any other articles / news about their contribution to the Tohoku victims.

In addition to the above, they had a special charm for the BW concert and the proceeds were for charity.

Here's the article about how they used the BW concert as fundraising for the Tohoku victims. (http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/entertainment/news/20110518-OHT1T00343.htm) Jun said they named their album "Beautiful World" to express their thoughts for the future of Japan. They also recorded a special message to show before Arashi ni Shiyagare (the March 19, 2011 episode) and the same episode had Ohno dressed up as Kaibutsu at the end, telling children not to worry and to listen to their parents. Also, there was a VS Arashi Tohoku special to raise the spirits of people at the time (the December 8, 2011 episode). They also had a radio show broadcasted in that area to raise spirits, if I recall correctly. Can't find any links for that though :(

Sounds like an interesting article! You should post it here when it's done ^_^

Aiba's in the middle of narrating a movie about 21 elementary school children (fifth graders) from Fukushima who will be graduating and going to middle school, but it won't be out until the end of May.
