Kagi no kakatta heya is interesting, I like it. But they talk way too fast and use complicated terminology to understand without subtitles so I must wait patiently. Enomoto-san is an interesting character, though Oh-chan looks so thin and tiny next to the other main cast members XD
Mikeneko on the other hand is all over the place. I only watched the first episode, so I might be writing it off too early, but I honestly had to make an effort to finish the episode. I liked Aiba-chan in Bartender, I thought he was improving, but I guess not so much.. ^^" Even the adorable fat kitty can't save this one.
Tbh, I don't really like all the characters on KagiHeya. Even Ohno's character is a little bit boring for me. For Mikeneko, I only like Ohkura's character. Compared to Bartender, I like Mikneko better. Bartender is just too boring for me (in terms of the story)
for recent detective trend, I think the TV want to produce a safe drama. if the first episode's case is interesting, usually viewers will wait for the next cases. if they produce drama which the story doesn't end in each episode (i.e romance), there are high possibility that the viewer will leave the drama if they think the continuation of the story isn't interesting (it just my opinion)
I can relate to KagiHeya a bit because I used to be the assistant of a lawyer who specialized in company law. He never picked up any locked room murder cases tho. XD And surprisingly I don't find Toda Erika as irritating here as in some of her other dramas (*cough*liar game*cough*).
Aah yeah, I can see the logic in the safety reason. But when every other drama is a detective one, it can get a bit tiring... I miss a good romance! Wonder if Matsujun will ever get another good tsundere character one. That character type could appear in a lot of manga adaptations.
you're right. I miss good Jdorama romance like in KimuTaku era. Jun is good in portraying tsundere character, but I want to see him in another challenging role
Thanks for mentioning those! I've actually been meaning to watch some older Kimutaku dramas, but haven't gotten around to them yet. Can you recommend me some good ones?
Well, he did have Bambino and Smile, those were different. But people still remember him mostly for Gokusen, Hanadan and Kimi wa Petto.
a couple months ago, I watched Pride. It's good. I love it. so many people say that Long Vacation is very good drama. but I can't find it everywhere so I haven't watch it yet. for Good Luck, I watched it when I was in elementary school, so I forgot what the story is like.
Thanks a bunch! I found Long Vacation on mysoju.com. If it doesn't start playing from there, just click on the player and it will open it in a separate window where it should work. :)
