Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask for all of your advice for this hopeless Japan travel/Arashi concert newbie. I’m going to Osaka really soon. I can make it to the Osaka Dome Wakuwaku Gakkou if I can get tickets. I’ve already read this entry and a slew of past questions in this comm. Could somebody check over my facts and correct me where I’m wrong?

From what I can figure out at Johnny’s site, it seems FC members can apply from June 22nd to 27th and for non-FC members, the tickets will go first-come first-serve on July 8th, 10 am through this website or by phone at 0570-084-251. Did I get everything right so far? I’m guessing tickets might sell out for just FC members anyway, so I don’t know if this entire thing is pointless, but here’s a try.

1. For those who’ve already bought tickets before through Lawson, do you recommend calling by phone or the website? I’m not sure if I’ll get a rental phone in Japan, and I suppose public/hotel phones are no way to do this since I would need a phone number to enter later (or will it be okay?). It’d be nice if I can do it on PC but then I worry about internet connections and server problems and tickets running out since it’s first come first serve. Which method do you think is safer? If phone, then I’ll probably go rent a phone just for this, so please give me your thoughts. xD

2. Also, does reserving one ticket versus two matter? I want to try for two in case a member of my host family wants to come along, but if that lowers chances to get a reservation, I’d go for just one.

3. Finally, from what I understand, the reservation I make which prints at Loppi machine is only a reservation and not the actual tickets, so if I can’t run to Lawson soon after I make the reservation, is there a chance the tickets will be sold out? Seems silly to ask but the site tells me to go straight to the cashier after I print the reservation out, which is rational - but if I don’t print out at the loppi machine itself until say, the day of wakuwaku, will I still have my reservation?

Thanks for reading through that ;_; And it’ll be really nice if you guys can throw me other random places to check out, Arashi related or not, around Osaka. Thank you so much for helping a fan out. ♥

Ticketing for everyone, fan club and non is June 22nd to 27th, but this is done by balloting, meaning you might not get the tickets if too many apply for your day/time. So, you can try again on the later date, in case someone didn't pay for their tickets. How many tickets has nothing to do with your chances, only so much as, the more people ballot for all four tickets, the faster the seats fill up.

Thing is though, if you ballot between the 22nd and 27th and DO get tickets, you have to go to a Lawson's (probably) sometime within a week after you get your mail. So, yes, what you get from the Lawson's is the actual ticket because Lawon's is a ticketing service. (I've gotten my tickets for other concerts via Lawson's before and never had to trade it in for something else.)

Also, for balloting, it doesn't matter if you do it as soon as possible, so I'd recommend waiting a day or two before trying for them on your PC, as the Loppi site will likely crash tomorrow morning.

I didn't knew you can apply again for the tickets that weren't paid...are you sure that's possible? I checked the website many times for the Tokyo Dome tickets but didn't saw anything regarding this.

Well, there's the second apply date, where you can buy directly, right?

That would be if there were any seats left over, so, either not boughten in the first place, or people who didn't pay at Lawson's in time.

So we don't have to pay first for balloting, right? Just after they confirm that we win the balloting. Because I heard that for usual concert ticket balloting you have to first.

OMG I'm so nervous with this. XDD I'll ask my friends help!!!! Ganbarimasuuuuu~

Thanks for your explanation~

Well, this time the ticketing is done through Lawson's so it's different then the usual, which is done through JE proper.

For the Lawson ticktets, you only have to pay for them later if you actually get them.

Good luck!

I have a question about ticket pick-up. What do Lawson store ask for when pick up the tickets?

I am balloting as an oversea fan, but now that I realize there's a timeframe for pick-up, I may have to ask someone to pick them up... But I don't know what type of identification or confirmation Lawson asks for :/

Lawson has the Loppi system, which is a machine you can use to pay for various kinds of things. (ticktes, Amazon orders, etc.) If you get tickets, you'll get an email that has a code you need use to at the Loppi machine. Its' basically really easy to do, and if you have someone in Japan doing it for you, as long as they understand Japanese well enough, it's really easy to do.

I applied for the Tokyo Dome event through Lawson seven times (via 7 people) during the balloting process (which btw is for anyone, FC and non-FC) and didn't hit a single one. =/ Because absolutely anyone in Japan (and abroad) can apply, chances of getting tickets are extremely small. My friend also tried applying during the first come first serve time, and the site was absolutely swamped for the first hour, at which point she gave up and we bought tickets that we had been offered. Also as far as I know you can't apply through phone? If you can though, keep in mind the phone lines will be just as swamped as the website so either way you're going to be racing to enter. I applied over the course of several days and there were server issues the entire time.
I get the feeling that Osaka won't be that different. I believe that the time to pick up your ticket is 5 days. I don't know how it works for Arashi events, but I know for the Kyary concert I had left picking up my ticket till last minute, and I got an email on the last day reminding me that if I didn't pick up my ticket it would be canceled. I'm assuming that's how it works for Arashi, and the tickets that haven't been picked up get added to the first-come-first-serve list.
In this case 1 ticket vs two won't matter since it's by ballot.

" first come first serve time"? Isn't the whole thing a lottery with all the applications made during all the days? *confused*

I believe for Tokyo Dome June 11 was the direct apply date. They were for left over tickets, but obviously since it wasn't balloting time was an issue and the servers were completely full.

According to op July 8th is the direct apply date for Osaka.

I applied via my friends with their own email address and mailing addresses (you need both). As far as I know IP address won't be taken into account. While scalpers are a real issue, Lawson has no obligation or incentive to go to extreme lengths to prevent people from getting more than one set of tickets. Thatttt being said I wouldn't apply more than once for each email / address, just in case. xD

Good luck~

it absolutely doesn't matter if you are in the FC, when you enter the ballot they won't even ask for your FC number. and everyone can ballot starting on the 22nd of June. so even if you aren't in the FC, you have equal chance.

I lost the ballot for Tokyo Dome, and wasn't able to get the tickets that were sold after that either :( it is a very slim chance since everyone can enter, and there are people who enter in 40+ times just so they can sell the tickets at a higher price. your best bet is to ask friends to also enter for you, as long as they have a Japanese address and phone number it should work.

I'm still pissed off that we didn't win... sigh. all our efforts on refreshing the website XDDDD
Are you going to ask some of your friends to ballot? I might have about 5 people I can ask... lol but not more. It'd be too weird to ask people who are not really close friends.

yeah i'm asking some friends, but probably about 5 as well XD it'd be awkward to ask people i don't know that well, yes.

well, i know it was on the form when i filled it out for tokyo dome. but, i have heard that some foreigners who have never even been to japan entered the ballot, and i guess they would have neither a japanese phone number or address. o.O so i think it might still be possible. though it might be safer to use the address of a japanese friend or a friend who lives in japan, as long as that person is not already balloting for themselves. :)

Your questions already seem to be answered so I won't say again the same things, but just wanted to tell you that you even if you don't win, you can buy tickets from the internet. They're not crazily expensive like concert tickets. For the Tokyo events they were starting from 10.000 yen ( compared to 4000 yen, the original price ), which is not so bad. The seats weren't the best, but at least you can be there. And if you have a bit more money to invest, you can find good seats for around 20.000 yen.

Yup, I got first floor seats on the side that directly faces Arashi when they give opening/closing comments and sing Furusato for 22000 yen, so even if you don't hit tickets it's possible to still buy good ones!

May I ask where did you buy your tickets? I didn't do it for Tokyo Dome but if I don't win for Osaka either I wanna buy a ticket on the internet...

Date: 2012-06-21 04:10 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] redpanda.livejournal.com
i'd also like to know where you bought them since i'd like to buy one on the internet if i don't win the lottery as well.

i was really afraid to even attempt to buy tickets on the internet for Tokyo Dome since i was terrified they'd check the ticket name and not let me in, or something like that. XD since i'm sure the name on the ticket would be a Japanese name, and clearly just by looking at me you can tell I'm not a Japanese person. but you got in without any problems? sorry for all the questions.

i want to ask:

1. what exactly the prize for Arashi's concert for kokuritsu and tokyo dome ( i mean the concert which is held in Tokyo) price by ballot and by internet cost?

2. and actually, I'm still not understanding about the process of 'how to start balloting' or how to check on email for reservation or such as.. please tell me step by step about it. since i'm planning to watch the concert but still don't get really clear about the process.

3. mm, darkhriss mentioned before about the cost for people who want to buy the tickets by internet, mm is that price for concert or for others show?

sorry for asking many questions. but I';m looking forward somebody want to answer these q. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu :)
