arashi_onArashi's Ohno Satoshi: Great joy of "Having Mickey all to myself" Chosen as navigator for new program which closes in on the truth of Walt Disney
It has become evident on today the 28th that Ohno Satoshi of the popular group Arashi will be in charge as the navigator for a documentary program entitled "Everything is to reach my dream ~Walt Disney, The Path of Creation~" which is set to air on the NHK integrated channel in August, in light of the 110th anniversary of Walt Disney's birthday. Ohno-san says with great joy, "I went to Los Angeles and San Fransisco and investigated the unknown world of Disney! All alone inside Disneyland I got to have Mickey all to myself! Sorry~ (hehe)"
Ohno-san is the first TV personality in the world to step foot inside the development site of the attractions made for Disney theme parks. He also visited Los Angeles' Disney Studios and personally experienced firsthand the technique of the animators. Even more, he introduces the apartment inside the Disneyland Resort of Anaheim, CA in which Walt and his family spent their time, and visits the Walt Family Museum in San Fransisco guided by none other than Walt's daughter, Diane Disney. Also featured in the program will be footage of the newest attractions to Disney California Adventure, "Cars Land" which just opened in June.
"I've experienced firsthand the history of Walt Disney leading up to the birth of Mickey and Disneyland and just how amazing of an entertainer he really was!" says Ohno-san who appeals by adding "Please look forward to the program!"
Chief Producer Sawatari Taketoshi comments that "I'm very excited to have been able to create a program with the incredibly extravagant pairing of Disney and Ohno-san. From early morning to late in the evening it was quite a tough filming, but as to be expected from Ohno-san who is an artist himself, he gave great interest to the numerous works left behind by Disney and gave a very vivid response to each of them. In regards to Walt he says "He was first and foremost a man who didn't make any compromises when it came to his art form. He constantly did anything in his power to get people to have dreams." He continues "I'm also making this program with that same mentality, so I hope I can send dreams to the viewers."
The broadcast will be on integrated television on 8/22 from 10-11:30pm.
