Help! How do you play region 2 dvds?

So I just got my callingXbreathless cd/dvd and I thought that i would be able to play the dvd with VLC player but its not working! I've tried a few other dvd players, dvd rippers and other software but I don't know what else to do :'( I have a mac computer, btw

And if nothing works, if anyone is willing to trade their regular edition with my limited edition?
