Hello there!

A few years back at the peak of my fandom involvement, I was the translator behind many initial Shiyagare episodes released at Ao no Michi. Real life happened and the team had more or less dissolved, time stamped a gradual limit on the number of shows I could catch up with- hadn't thought it possible but soon enough I was tuned out from fandom all together!

But I caught up with an old team member, because from what little of Arashi I've tried to catch up with this year they possessed the same healing spirit that rekindled a drive to spread their joy. Asked if she'd wanna indulge in a light-hearted, ongoing fansubbing effort and she said okay, sounds good, so here ya go:

The team required of this effort can be minimal; all we need is one in each role and we have myself as a translator and the lovely [livejournal.com profile] pandaranda as an editor. I have plans to continue working on hilarious, unsubbed Shiyagare episodes but everything under the sun, really. Something that's got [livejournal.com profile] pandaranda squealing, or subbing requests, or the really short commercial that sounded stupid cute yet makes no sense in native language whatsoever.

In short we're sourcing for timers, typesetters, encoders, and/or anyone who'd wanna help out with this fansubbing effort.
Doesn't matter if you're inexperienced although we have nobody to guide you along in the case of timing/typesetting/encoding...

It's not a full-on thing, so it's okay if you're of the inclination to get assaulted by real life and disappear for what, a few weeks, we do that too. :) It's more a fun, relaxed thing where we pit what we're good at, when we're good for time, into projects that'll float themselves forever on the net.

Takers do PM myself for further discussion or leave some comments!

Edit: Taken aback and overwhelmed with the eager responses! We have enough timers for one and contented with the number of typesetters/encoders on hand- more is always welcome but I'm afraid work will get unevenly distributed with the disproportionate ratio of translators/editors to timers/typesetters/encoders.

Now maybe we'd love to have one or two graphic artists on board to unleash some creative power!
