arashi_on | [NEWS] "ARASHI BLAST in Hawaii" - 15th anniversary 2-day concert event announced!

This is all over social media outlets so I figured I might as well post it here for those who haven't heard about it yet. Arashi has announced a special 2-day event in Hawaii called "ARASHI BLAST in Hawaii" to celebrate their 15th anniversary as a group. Here are some info gathered from the numerous newspaper articles in no particular order:

- This event takes place on September 19th and September 20th.
- It will consist of one concert per day, each seating 15,000 fans for a total of 30,000 fans.
- The concert venue will be outdoors and held at Honolulu, which is in the island of Oahu.
- The offer for Arashi to go and to hold this special event came from the governor of the state of Hawaii two years ago, which was around the time they started planning.
- This is the first time Arashi has ever held concerts in Hawaii, and is also the biggest concert event ever held by a Japanese artist.
- Arashi was originally planning to hold a concert there back in 2001, but 9/11 happened and plans were put on hold. They held a fan event in 2002 instead to help boost tourism sales for Hawaii, and haven't done anything else since.
- Tickets will be sold in a travel package for fanclub members that includes round trip tickets provided by JAL Airlines, for which Arashi acts as image characters.
- A small portion of tickets will be distributed amongst local fans, but the vast majority will go towards approximately 30,000 fanclub members.
- This means that JAL will make special provisions of 100 round trip flights for 300 fans per plane.
