I think we could all use some positive news right now, so on that note:

Yahoo!Japan has just released a list of the most frequently searched terms for the first half of 2008, and to my delight, Arashi placed 3rd under the General People category---up from 7th in 2007. (The only other Johnny's group to make the top 20 is Kanjani8, ranked 20th)

Arashi is ranked 2nd under the Male category, outstripped only by Exile.

I suppose there may be a  smidgeon of truth in that age-old saying, "In showbiz, any publicity is good publicity."

Whoa i didn't know Exile is so famous. I thought they've disbanded already lol

And i can't believe Gokusen is 2nd in the TV program ranking D: But Last Friends totally deserved the 1st spot.

Annnnnd Gintama beats the hell out of Reborn D: YES!

I should be talking about Arashi.... well that's good news seeing them at the top of the other JE groups :D

What surprised me was the presence of Nakagawa Shouko. And the only reason I recognized her was because she was that Evangelion nut they had on Shukudai XD

I knew she's done lots of singing for anime this year, but I didn't know she was THAT hot of an item.

I think Gokusen's ratings were higher than Last Friends, but I guess most people already know all about it and didn't need to look it up. I love that all the top spots were taken by dramas, though ~

The anime/game category amused me so much. Monster Hunter, Pokemon, and Yugioh all in the row! :D
