Song/Vid discussion? : D

Hi!
I`m relatively new to Arashi, though not JE in general. (i`ve moved HSJ -> Kat-tun -> News -> Arashi.)
Anyway, just wondering if anyone can recommend me some must watch/listen performances/songs? I have most of the albums, but i haven't seen a lot of PVs.
I`m not sure if this post is allowed (and what to tag it) but I read the rules and didn't see anything against it. ^ ^;
Also, my friend asked me to show her some arashi songs/vids, so what are your favorites? :]

I always go with the Kitto Daijoubu PV. It's so very Arashi, with lots of crack, and I think it introduces you well to each member...
My first Arashi PV was Happiness, so I also recommend that.
Of course, it depends on your friend's tastes!

hmmm its actually kinda hard to choose my favirte songs / pvs

but whats on the top of my mind right now

Ohno's solo- "Take me faraway" ...my all time favorite
Once again is great

and as for mood makers for me are
"Happiness"
Aiba's solos - "Hello Goodbye" and "Itsuka no summer"

PVs...hmmm it would definitely "Sakura Sake"

performances...I'm totally hooked to "Yes?No?" and "Move your body" perfs..

and their TV shows are must watch

All the following PV's I mention can be found here in the PV section of Arashian Files (http://arashianfiles.orgfree.com/pvs.htm):


Kitto Daijoubu, because it goes a long way to explain all those rainbow jokes that are around in the Arashi fandom,

Sakura Sake and Pikanchi Double, because they're really good songs with good PV's,

Happiness, because it's Arashi's version of happiness (read: goof off together, play with stuff and - in Nino's and Ohno's case - be kind of gay with each other)

Hidashi no Mirai, because it's Arashi goofing off in empty bathtubs and piling on top of each other in beds (Note: For some strange reason, this PV always reminds me of the Beatles); and

Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi, because it's rather beautiful and has Arashi's attempt at emo on a farm. (It also has the "Smile again!" lyrics, which have become another staple of the Arashi fandom, it seems, and which more than one fan - including me, btw - misunderstood as "Smile gay!" the first time they heard it. XD)


I'd also recommend the A-Ra-Shi PV, not because of quality but because it's their debut song, but the other PV's span pretty much all of Arashi's career, so if you forego that one for now it will probably not hurt you. ^^"

I haven't seen Hidashi no mirai and Kansa Kangeki Ame Arashi so ill go check them out :3

If you haven't seen at least one of their concerts you really should, it's like their Tv-shows got mixed togheter with their Pv's. And if you still like HSJ then there's a bonus in Arashi's Time concert with HSJ performing their debut song.

A lot of the PVs I would have recommended are already listed, but to name some others, I really like the PVs for "Nice Na Kokoroiki" because they're all nerdified and adorable and "Aozora Pedaru" because it has a little storyline to it and everything and I like the song in general. There's also the PV to "Lucky Man", which isn't all that interesting, but for some reason the fact that they're dancing on water makes me laugh.

As for songs, the first Arashi song I ever fell in love with was "Kotoba Yori Taisetsu Na Mono" (it's the theme song for Stand Up!! if you watch jdramas) and the PV for it is kind of cute, too. Not very exciting, but cute. I also really like "Cool & Soul" from the Arashic album, mostly because they're all rapping and I honestly cannot get over how much Nino's voice stands out from the rest of them (because he sounds like a little boy, haha) <3. "I Want Somebody" if you're a Jun fan, "Caramel Song" if you're a Nino fan or if you like slower songs (both also from Arashic), "A Day In Our Life" (theme song for Kisarazu Cat's Eye) for some good Sakurap, um... "Rock You" and "Cry For You" from the Time album were good... and I have a feeling if I don't stop now I never will.

Sorry for rambling on. I clearly need to go and find myself a life, lol.

Kotoba Yori Taisetsu Na Mono was the first arashi song I heard. XD Naturally I was watching Stand Up!!. XD
I didn't get the random girls in Aozora Pedaru. o o Was it part of a drama or something?

Stand Up!! ftw! Haha. I seriously love that drama.

And Aozora Pedaru wasn't tied in with any drama or anything I don't think. The song is just about nostalgia and all of that, so they made a whole mini story in the music video about a group of friends who put together a bar or a restaurant or a hang out or whatever the hell it is who meet up again (though the girls never show up) and reminisce about it.

I like the PVs for "We Can Make It", "Love So Sweet" and "Hitomi Naka No Galaxy". Cinematography-wise, i think they're the best so far.
