New single announced!

Arashi's set to take on the theme song for Nino's upcoming drama, Ryusei no Kizuna. The song is called "Beautiful Days", and it's slated to be released on November 5th.

From the title alone, it sounds like it might be a slower song than the other singles they've released so far this year? Either way, it's yet another thing to look forward to from Arashi. :D Mark your calendars!

I think it might have been a bit difficult with Ryo, because he's both in Kanjani8 and NEWS. Both bands would "deserve" a drama-related single, so if either of them had gotten one because of Ryo, it might have spread discontent (mostly in the fans, I suspect, but who knows what the guys think).

Also, Arashi is senpai and Nino is the main lead actor. Plus, Arashi gets to sing the theme song for almost all of its members' dramas so I'm not so surprised there. NEWS hasn't had a single drama tie-in single yet and it wouldn't make sense for them to do so with the Happy Birthday Single coming out in about a week. I have this feeling that this single will be amazing, better than One Love and probably will be on par with Truth xD

Are they TRYING to kill Arashi this year? I mean really. I know other JE groups have survived a music schedule worse than that (Add another album and another single and we get Hikaru Genji in 94.), but the TV shows will screw them over. D:

I agree that I don't want them to be overworked but getting down vocals (which really is probably what needs to be done 90% of the time) for a single may at tops take an entire week. I don't think the recording broke them.

Promotion though. T_T That's a whole different story. I'll buy it though, of course.

I agree, promotion's going to be the hard part. That and getting the choreography down. :/

I believe that one of the main reasons for Ohno's great weight-loss during Maou was because he, instead of eating, was practising choreography for the two new songs and perhaps even for the concerts during his breaks in filming. Nino also has both concerts and a new single to deal with, and in addition to that he also doesn't like to eat AND has really no weight in muscles that he could lose; so I'm a bit worried about him.
But I guess Sho (and likely the others too) will keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't kill himself accidentally. ^^
