Hi all,
I have a question to ask (that seems quite  insignificant) but I can't get if off my mind :X

which shows D no Arashi: Live Special Concert Iza Now
My question is during the segment of T no Arashi, members were kinda making some mean comments on the segment and Sho looked like he was about to cry.
Was that for real? Or was it part of a prank?
I am sorry for asking such a meaningful question. I couldn't get it even after watching the subbed version.

It was pretty much a running gag to make fun of T no Arashi. I mean, I'm sure they actually thought it was boring, but I'm pretty sure they tried to have the most negative reaction they could (sometimes Aiba would mess up and laugh anyway, to the dismay of the others), because, like I said, hating on it (though not the original intent) became kinda the point. I'm sure Shochan was well aware of that.

Yeah, I agree. I vaguely remember one of the other members saying "I can't pretend to hate this/I can't pretend to be disinterested" after some segment they found amusing.

So really, I think the rest of Arashi being bored at T no Arashi is just an act.

It is common for Japanese variety shows to have a character who is 'bullied' so to speak (usually due to fail of some kind), and it is a common way to appeal to fans. If it makes you feel any better, the rest of Arashi did it to Matsujun when he's on Utawara, Ohno gets it on Heyx3 and Aiba on Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen.

XP It's because none of the Arashi members like T no Arashi. To Aiba (in a G no Arashi episode) he says that it was very boring. Sho defended himself by saying that he was an excellent and did his best to be an enthusiastic host for T no Arashi

This episode, as every other D no Arashi, has been subbed by the wonderful taijiprojectsub. Check it (or better, check them) with subs, that should answer your question ;)

Actually, when I first saw it, I thought Sho did look a little like he was about to cry. Maybe he was overwhelmed by the live audience. Doing T no Arashi in front of thousands of people and getting that kind of reaction and that surreal atmosphere, which is actaully the point of TnA, would've gotten to anyone I think. He just looked overwhelmed, alomst unprepared to me to be honest.

But I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's Sho, the guy is Sakurai Sho XD. He's kinda awesome.
